Kim Kelley-Wagner has two daughters who were adopted from China. In everyday life, they have been subjected to horrid statements from people - to their faces, to their mother as they stood by her, etc. In this photo collection, shared on her blog, Kim and her daughters (Lily and Meika) put these ignorant cruelties front and center. [x]

"I have tried to explain to my daughters that people do not say these things to be mean, they say them out of ignorance, which is why I am sharing some of them. Words are powerful, they can become tools or weapons, choose to use them wisely."

Okay but no can I just say something real quick

My Mad Fat Diary is such a good show, and not just because of the way mental illness is portrayed, like. The kids do lots of crazy stuff, but they aren’t dicks or anything. They’re just teenagers. Like they have that big party at Rae’s and Chop and them stay and help clean up because Chop invited all this people and the mess is his fault and that’s just nice like there are people in the world that aren’t always trying to screw you over. It’s just nice to know you can have up to eight of them in your life at a time.
